"Hud Yer Wheesht's funky feel-good music and improvisations will shove you around the dance floor. More complicated dances will be called if necessary - watch out for the totally off-the-wall Swedish Masquerade, you'll really need your balance." "The best ceilidh band in Edinburgh, Hud Yer Wheesht will also be performing and teaching us how to strut our stuff." (preview to a HWUMC ceilidh, March 2010)
"The flying Scotsman is one to go down in the history books. Never laughed so much while dancing!" (Community Woodlands Association ceilidh, Dundee, November 2007)
...and finally, during a wedding sometime in the 1990's a father of the bride said to us "I never expected my daughter to book a punk ceilidh band." We were never sure whether he meant it well, but we took it as a compliment ! Maybe he meant to say 'funk' not 'punk'.
